Before you accept

See the job. Then decide.

Every request tells you what you need to know to say yes or no, and you have a few minutes to answer.

  • What the customer needs, in their own words, with their photos
  • The address, the distance and the route from where you are
  • The rating the customer has from other professionals
  • The least you'll earn, before you say yes
  • You decide: accept or decline

How a job works

From yes to paid, in one app.

Every step is recorded on both phones, yours and the customer's, so at the end there is nothing to argue about.

  1. Accept and head over

The first hour is held on the customer's card before you set off: you don't travel on a promise. The route opens in your maps app.

A request accepted in URVO Pro, with the reminder that the job starts when you scan the customer's code.
  2. Scan to start

The clock starts when you scan the code on the customer's phone. Not on the way, not from the van: at their door.

On the way to the customer in URVO Pro, with the button to scan their code.
  3. Work on a shared clock

You both see the same timer, and pauses stop it. Need a part? Send what it is and what it costs from the app: the customer approves and pays it there, before you buy.

A job in progress in URVO Pro: the timer, the earnings so far and an expense waiting for the customer's answer.
  4. Get paid

The customer confirms and your payout is on its way, with a breakdown, an invoice and a statement for every job.

A payout in URVO Pro: what the customer paid, URVO's commission and what reaches you.

Earnings

Know what you earn before you start.

Each trade has one hourly rate in Dublin, and URVO's commission is 13% on what the customer pays, the same for everyone. It already includes card payments and the transfer to your bank, and no VAT is added to it. Every request shows your share before you accept.

  • At least one hour per job, then 15-minute steps
  • Parts and materials come back to you with the payout, minus a 3% card fee
  • Payouts reach your bank in about two working days, through Stripe
  • An invoice and a statement for every payout, ready for your accountant
  • If a customer cancels late, you get your share of the cancellation fee

What's left after URVO's 13%, which already covers card payments and the transfer to your bank, with no VAT added. The rate is the final price the customer pays: if you charge VAT, it's included in the rate, and you pay it over yourself.

Questions from professionals

Is there a subscription or a fee to join?

No. Joining is free, there is no subscription and you never pay for leads. URVO takes a commission of 13%, and only on the work you do. Card payment costs and the transfer to your bank are included in the commission. The only other deduction is 3% on parts and materials you're paid back for, to cover their card payment.

How much do I earn on a job?

The hourly rate for your trade in Dublin, minus URVO's commission. Each request shows the least you'll earn before you accept, and every payout shows the full breakdown.

How is my time counted?

From the moment you scan the customer's code. At least an hour per job, then 15-minute steps, and a new step only starts after a short grace period. Pauses stop the clock.

What if I need to go and buy a part?

Tap “Pause” before you leave and “Resume” when you're back. Paused time isn't billed: the trip isn't paid, and it can't be asked for as an expense either. The customer sees the pause on their phone. For the part itself, use “Request an expense”: say what it is and what it costs, and the customer approves and pays it in the app before you buy it. It comes back to you with the payout, minus the 3% card fee.

When do I get paid?

When the customer confirms the job, or automatically two hours after you finish if they don't answer. The payout reaches your bank in about two working days, through Stripe.

What documents do I need?

An identity document, your tax number, valid public liability insurance and, for electricians, Safe Electric registration. You upload them when you sign up, and we review them in about two working days.

Do I need to be registered for VAT?

No. If you are, you say so in the app and VAT is included in the rate the customer pays; if you aren't, you can still work through URVO. URVO adds no VAT to its commission: 13% is the whole cost. Your tax affairs stay your responsibility.

Can I choose which jobs I take?

Yes. You choose your trades, your hours and how far you travel, and you accept or decline every request. You work for yourself, not as an employee.

Will I get jobs straight away?

URVO is launching in Dublin. Requests depend on customers near you, so we can't promise a number of jobs. Signing up now means your account is verified and ready when they arrive.
